Job summary : Person hired for the US Accounting Team Lead position will be part of the GSC RTR USAC Team and will be responsible to develop & manage strong financial analysis for Regional / Corporate RTR team, coordinate process migrations, reviewing/approving accounting transactions, ensuring SLAs and KPIs are met, providing day-to-day coaching of the team, and driving process improvement.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :

  • Develop & manage strong financial and accounting analysis
  • Ensure compliance of SOX and 3M Internal Controls
  • Play a lead role in migrating processes to the Costa Rica GSC
  • Provide coaching and development to team
  • Ensure SLAs and KPIs are achieved and customer expectations are met
  • Final approver for journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and lead team in implementing them
  • Ensure performance measures are within Service Level Agreements (SLA) targets

Qualifications/Requirements :

  • Business level fluency in English
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance or Business Administration
  • 5+ years of professional experience in accounting
  • 2+ years of team's leadership experience
  • Experience in GL, Inter-Company, GR/IR, Inventory, AR/AP, reviewing and approving journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team-oriented person who can focus on the details
  • Process improvement experience - Lean Six Sigma
  • Working knowledge of SAP
