Your Role and Responsibilities As part of Team MetricStore you will develop and operate Instana’s proprietary metric datastore. It is the backbone that serves metrics use-cases in a variety of areas in our enterprise observability platform such as metric explorations, dashboards, and alerts.We are looking for Software Engineers who are curious about learning new technologies and excited by inventing new ways to solve complex technical challenges. As part of Team Metricstore every detail of design, implementation, validation and optimization is important to ensure our software performs well at large scale while is also easy to manage.
Your Role and Responsibilities:

Constantly improve our in-house metric datastore that powers all metric functionalities across our product offerings.

Collaborate across teams to best offer metrics as a service to other internal teams.

Work closely with project managers to understand customers’ needs and to make sure what we build best serves our customers.

Mainly work on C++ code base in Linux environments.

Build Docker images, manageKubernetes clusters.

Collaborate closely with SRE team to monitor and ensure the stability of our system. Required Technical and Professional Expertise :

Have practical experiences working on C++ codebases using the CMake build system.

Demonstrated experience in CI/CD automation.
