Job Description Position Summary**

As part of the HR Services operations team, our Senior Payroll Analyst ensures the timely and accurate review, preparation and auditing of payroll and personnel transactions. The position is going to support payroll processing, offer guidance on different process areas, and handle data input and other transactions ensuring accuracy, effectiveness, and compliance of the end-to-end payroll process. In addition to responding to and resolving complex associate issues and questions across the region.

General Job Responsibilities

  • Provide support to employees with payroll-related questions and concerns.
  • Performs the payroll cycle ensuring all processes and controls are completed on time.
  • Assist management with design and implementation of internal control measures and periodic review of compliance.
  • Provide support to the payroll team in tax related topics and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Act as the point of contact for any escalated payroll queries.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and departments including wage summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leaves, retirement savings and benefits.
  • Work with other departments across the region, such as IT, HR, and accounting, to ensure the smooth flow of payroll information.
  • Ensure all payroll processes are kept up to date and are compliant with national laws and regulations.
  • Support system upgrades and new functionality rollouts.
  • Assist in identifying payroll errors and implementing corrective action where required to ensure employee salaries are processed accurately and database integrity is maintained.
  • Maintain, update, and help create relevant Payroll policies and procedures as and when required.
  • Perform other functions related to the position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in accounting, finance, taxation, or related field.
  • 4-5 years of payroll tax and payroll process experience with multi-state, and local payroll tax experience required.
  • Advanced English skills (B2+, C1).
  • Microsoft Excel at an Intermediate to Advanced skill level for data analysis, forecasting, and reconciliation
  • Experience with Multi-state/Provincial full cycle payroll processing, including tax withholding and general ledger entry.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience working with ERP (SAP and ADP Tax preferred), +5 years of experience.
  • Experience with Alteryx, Microsoft PowerBI, Power Automate, or other similar desktop-level automation solutions desirable.
