ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?

This role plays an instrumental part in the transforming of BAT organization by delivering complex recruitment programs that aim to attract and hire the right talent within the allocated markets.

What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organization?

This role is to support transformation of business via leading the recruitment teams in attracting and hiring top talent supporting global reorganization and transformation.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Inspire, motivate and lead GBS Americas recruitment team to ensure commitments, performance and standards of excellence as well as overall hiring needs are met
  • Create the right engagement channels to better partner with Human Resources Partners from various End Markets (Business Units) within the entire group, according to the designated portfolio to ensure strong alignment between business needs and recruitment’s ability to drive those forward
  • Perform root-cause analysis to determine when issues arise and develop action plan to mitigate future occurrences
  • Regularly track and determine effectiveness of plans and change direction if approach requires modification
  • Use data to influence all levels and decisions, engaging leading-edge methods to attract diverse talent
  • Continuously look at process improvement and creating efficiencies and tools to enhance the hiring experience from multiple external and internal partners
  • Ensures effective use of the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) throughout the process
  • Track, monitor and run regional performance reviews to ensure the right actions are set in place for continuous improvement of KPIs
  • Work closely with Global Process Lead to review and adapt the global recruitment strategy to market trends
  • Create a sustainable progression pipeline and significantly improve the quality of middle management via mentoring, coaching and bringing top talent
  • Accountable for the process and controls accuracy, ensure timely and accurate data input into relevant systems, and accountable for reporting data accuracy

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

ESSENTIAL

Experience Required

  • Experience managing Americas (LATAM, USA and Canada) recruitment teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated competencies in project management, including attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks

Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

  • Proven record of leadership experience in regional and global recruitment initiatives
  • Passionate about influencing, inspiring and mentoring
  • Self-motivated with the ability to organize, schedule and prioritize departmental and individual work to meet various schedules and objectives, re-prioritize on short notice
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Able to successfully interact with all levels within the organization
  • Strong analytical and cognitive skills with ability to translate into actionable business decisions and execution plans
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship building, influencing and conflict resolution skills
  • Focused on the realization of processes and motivated to achieve continuous improvement

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent English skills (Level C)
